A very warm welcome to the Ladies’ Section of Seaford Golf Club.

Our main playing day is Tuesday, when we have tee times reserved from 10am for competitions. If you would like to take part in these, please feel free to join in by booking a tee time on the computer. Generally, players with lower handicaps go out first, and those with higher handicaps later.

If you are new to golf, then why not join the Swinging Sisters every fortnight on a Thursday? You’ll find a sign-up sheet on the main noticeboard in the locker room. All handicaps are welcome – the group plays 11 holes with drawn partners and everyone meets in the clubhouse for coffee and a chat afterwards. It’s a great, relaxed way to meet other members and get to know the course.

We also offer a full diary for golfers who enjoy playing competitively against other clubs. This year our Division 2 team has fixtures at home and away against Rye, Cuckfield and Cooden Beach, while our Division 3 team will play Pyecombe, West Sussex, Sedlescombe and Cottesmore.

We take part, too, in the county’s Morrice Fours, Kathleen Ryder, Jerdein Memorial Salver and President’s Team Trophy competitions. We also enter the Daily Mail Foursomes and the biggest national competition for lady club golfers, the Coronation Fours.

We are members of a Winter League, playing against Highwoods, the Royal Eastbourne, Cooden Beach, Willingdon and Crowborough Beacon, and we also take part in a series of mixed matches and friendlies against other clubs in Sussex, such as Eastbourne Downs.

Our section is run by a Ladies’ Committee, who jointly organise the year’s events, and whose key responsibilities are posted on the noticeboard next to the Ladies’ Office. If you have a query or need help, please don’t hesitate to ask them.

Happy golfing!
